As team members of an AAHA-accredited practice and as veterinary health experts, we are always vigilant about communicable diseases that can impact pets and their people. With the recent outbreak of COVID-19, we have shifted to a curbside concierge model in order to better protect you and our team members. We are taking extra measures above and beyond our already high standards to help ensure everyone’s safety. As the situation is rapidly changing, we are regularly monitoring information from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), and federal and state/local agencies as well as the NCVMB (North Carolina Veterinary Medical Board) to follow all recommended protocols. We are continuing to operate during this difficult time to provide the veterinary medical and surgical care your pet needs. At this time, our lobby is closed to the public. When you arrive for any reason:
- Please remain in your vehicle and call us from the parking lot upon arrival.
- Team members will interact with you outside your car and shuttle your pet(s) to the hospital and back for any needed services.
- If your pet is being transferred inside the clinic, we ask that once you arrive, to remove any personal collars, leashes, harnesses or any other item that your pet may be wearing. This is to help reduce the number of potential exposures on surfaces coming into the clinic. For larger dogs, we will use our own individual sanitized slip-leads to make the transfer. For cats, please arrive with them secured in disinfected carriers. If your dog is very nervous and you are worried they may try to jump out of the car, you may exit your vehicle (while wearing a mask) to bring them out on your leash/collar/harness, and we will make the leash switch at that time.
- Conversations between you and the veterinarian will happen by phone as needed, and all payment information will be collected over the phone.
Due to the high volume phone calls with remote check-ins and Covid-19 curbside protocols, you may be experiencing longer hold times than usual. Please be patient as we have a limited number of phone lines and are doing the best we can to take care of everyone as safely and efficiently as possible.
Thankfully, we have an option to skip this “hold time”! Simply download our free Petlocity mobile app and register with the email address you have on file with us. If you are unsure which email address that is, we are happy to assist you with that. Once downloaded, you can request appointments, prescription food and medication refills, send messages to relay to your veterinarian, and more! Once your request/message is received, our staff will call you with any follow up questions/scheduling/etc. *
